Fort Lauderdale Airport National Car Rental Policies
Like other car rental suppliers in Fort Lauderdale, National has specific rental rules for drivers, payments, vehicle returns, insurance, and additional services.
Age Requirements: The standard minimum age is 21. National applies an extra fee of $25 per day for renters under 25.
Additional Driver: A renter's spouse or domestic partner can drive at no additional charge if they meet the same age and license requirements. Other additional drivers pay $15 per day each.
Security Deposit: National requires a $400 security deposit for most vehicle classes and $850 for selected luxury, premium, performance, and specialty vehicles.
After-Hour Return: The FLL location allows after-hours vehicle returns. Follow the signs to National's designated return area on the second floor of the Airport Rental Car Center. Drop & Go service is also available.
